Our Founder, Maker & Creative Director
Ulrike Pearson
Ulrike originated from Germany, but upon embarking on a short, Australian overseas adventure in 2010 fell completely in love with Australia and the Kimberley. The vibrant colours, lifestyle and unique beauty resonated within, and what should have been a quick visit to this tropical and remote part of the world quickly evolved into a long lasting love affair leading her far away from home.
14 years on, married and a mother to two beautiful daughters, Ulrike shares her love of the Kimberley with them. In her downtime, she is a passionate camper and spends most of her time on the beach and outdoors enjoying the beautiful coastline of Broome and the Kimberley.
Our History
Hang me U.P. was established in 2015 as an outlet for Ulrike’s passionate and creative nature.
Wanting to express her love for interior design, coastal living and handy & practical living, Hang Me U.P. was founded.
What initially started with a basic macrame plant hanger soon evolved into intricate pieces. Macramé wall hangings, macramé handbags, macramé keychains, macramé hat hangers and much more were being created in her studio.
These pieces now fill homes across Australia & beyond.Her greatest joy comes from transforming her passion and inspiration into pieces that bring both beauty and purpose to your space, whether it's a statement wall hanging or a clever storage solution for your caravan adventures.
In 2017 macramé experienced a resurgence in popularity. Ulrike was now a busy mother, and with a hope to inspire other mums and the local community, Ulrike began to create Hang Me U.P. macramé workshops.
Her goal was to give others an opportunity to step away from their every-day busy lives, and to find a calming and relaxing outlet to let go of the everyday hustle & bustle.
These workshops are now an integral part of Hang Me U.P. and can be catered and created for all ages.
